The Vet Clinic Wairarapa has a close involvement with Wairarapa beef cattle breeders and finishers. Wairarapa is home to a large number of commercial beef herds as well as many nationally recognised stud herds.
From a veterinary perspective, the emphasis these days is as much on animal disease prevention as it is on actual treatment.
By working closely with clients to identify their animal health and performance goals, we aim to develop farm-specific animal health programmes and strategies that take much of the guesswork out of their beef farming enterprise. In building such a farm profile, we are able to give advice and develop programmes that are based on best practice, best science and focused on achieving great results.
Our Annual RVM Consult is our starting point when working with you and your farm. During this consult we do not only decide on your treatment plans and regimes, we also format your Animal Health Plan that is set up to support you throughout the season with timed reminders for key animal health events and consultations. This consult also gives us the opportunity to inform you of important upcoming changes in the beef industry and what they mean for you as well as the perfect time to discuss your goals and ambitions for the coming season(s).
